KATE - Mamoka Whakapapa
KATE Born 26th August 2005 (Mamoka Whakapapa)
KC Reg: reg AF04237306
Kate is the great grand daughter of Bess.
Sire: Mobella Tuckers Luck
Dam: Mamoka Red Friend
BFA no: 0891B
A beautiful black and white smooth coated Border Collie, very clever and learns so fast I'm going to have to run to catch up!!!!
Named Kate as the diminutive of Katrina (hurricane) and Kate as in The Taming of the Shrew!!!
Before the age of 12 weeks she already did a good "sit," "down," "stay," retrieved a ball and brought it back to me so that she could play tuggy.
Was house trained 100%, and her recall brilliant. She learned to ring sets of bells I have on each door when she wants to go out or come in. Well focused, nothing fazes her and she's a real workaholic!!
Kate is now running with the Sheffield flyball teams. She previously ran in my teams "The Break-Aways UK" and the "Travelling Tearaways."
She has obtained her Sapphire award in BFA flyball.
AUGUST 2017
I have now retired Kate from Open racing and she is now only racing in Starter competitions where jumps are always at 7 inches. She's had 12 years of fantastic racing but I want to keep her fit and healthy and she's still keen to run so she'll continue to race, just not be collecting anymore points, rosettes and awards, just having the fun of running.
SAD UPDATE
19th December 2018: Kate, my safe dog who I could always rely on, has gone to Rainbow Bridge.
