Bridie was out of Cories Maddie of Bessamour and Bessamour Digger. Quite an independent dog like her mother, and a lovable, affectionate workaholic like her father Digger. She was only really happy when she was doing something I asked her to do. She qualified for Crufts under judge Peter Bailey but I didn't campaign her to get her Stud Book number as we were too busy doing Flyball. She was also assessed for Search work with a Volunteer Search Dogs group.

Flyball .....................
She loved Flyball and ran with the Break-Aways and the Travelling Tearaways.
Update: Into her 15th year, she was still doing flyball but only with low jumps when we had a height dog running in her team. She "told" me she was ready to just be a spectator or have the occasional run at training, just to keep her fit.

Bridie (below) in her 16th year but she can still chase a pig ball around the garden!
We have a secret, you and I,
That no-one else shall know.
For who but I shall see you lie,
Each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
Before we go to bed,
And feel the living warmth of you
And touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths,
And see, ahead of me,
Your small form racing with the wind,
So young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
In every brook I pass.
And when I call, no-one but I
Can see the bending grass.
