FLYNN
FLYNN
Working Sheep Dog female
16th April 2004 - 1st November 2005
Flynn, my beautiful Flynn. A chocolate and white whirlwind who I hoped would be doing flyball and Obedience with a little bit of sheep work thrown in for good measure when she got older.
She was my first Working Sheep Dog (WSD) as opposed to a Border Collie registered with the ISDS or on the Kennel Club Breed Register. Flynn was registered on the Kennel Club Working Register.
I'd always wanted a chocolate and white bitch but had never bred one nor had the possibility to obtain one.............until now.
The first KC registered puppy I reserved turned out to be unilaterally deaf. Another had very aggressive parents and another had parents with very high hip scores, so I went out and got me a farm collie puppy out of farm collie parents.
I didn't intend to breed from Flynn as I had no knowledge of her ancestors or any health problems that might have been present.
We were just going to share dog sports along with my other dogs.
Unfortunately Flynn was suddenly taken ill at the age of 18 months, and despite many efforts to save her, had to be put to sleep to prevent further suffering.
I miss her so very much.

If I could have a lifetime wish,
A dream that would come true.
I'd wish so much with all my heart,
For yesterday and you.
A thousand words can't bring you back,
I know because I've tried.
And neither will a million tears,
I know because I've cried.
You left behind my broken heart
and happy memories too.
But I never wanted memories
I only wanted you.
